Pritish Ambhore

Coming from a social work and life sciences background, Pritish is an environment enthusiast ever since his college days. While volunteering for various NGOs, Pritish took initiatives like tree plantation, installing biogas plants, creating awareness for environmental development. His constant efforts resulted in him winning green fellowship, funded by VSO, twice for installing biogas projects in Delhi University and Aman Biradri shelter homes. Appreciating his efforts, CNN International too made a documentary on his work and projected it at Earth Summit held at Rio 2012!

Ever since then, he has been constantly engaged in environment advocacy, promotion of sustainable and green solutions through live environment projects, tree plantation and by launching innovative campaigns.

Apart from environment, Pritish has also been working for concerns such as SC/ST issues, livelihood promotion, LGBT rights, RTI awareness, women empowerment, education awareness etc. for the last eight years.

Pritish Ambhore is Founder of VOICE. His passion for environment and social issues has given VOICE an experience of eight years of skills and expertise towards building an equal and just society.

Saumyeta Sumanglam

Saumyeta joined as an intern and in a very short span of time managed the post of Chief Operating Officer. It was her passion for rural development which made Saumyeta join VOICE. She started by working in collaboration with VOICE in villages of Maharashtra. Since then has looked after the rural development projects and other administrative operations of VOICE. Being the COO , Saumyeta also manages VOICE’s Business development arena along with the founders.

She is a grassroots comic’s trainer as well who got trained under Mr. Sharad Sharma at World Comics India. It’s been six years, since she has worked in social work domain. Saumyeta too like VOICE began by teaching under privileged students. Coming from a social work and Human Development and Childhood studies background, Saumyeta believes in empowering people. By providing grassroots comics training, she provides people a medium through which they can raise their voices! Given her passion for social work, Saumyeta has worked in the remotest villages and interior parts of the country. Her passion to work for the society took her to remote areas. She explored Arunachal Pradesh to work with local tribes and has vast experience of working in Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra where she helped rural NGO's with capacity building programs. Apart from social work Saumyeta has keen interest in theatre and counselling. She has been working with various age groups and also leads the grassroots comics training and capacity building programs for rural NGO's at VOICE.
